On April 19, 2013, NASK was very pleased to see the first hour of debate for Motion M-230 in the House of Commons. Special thanks to Niagara area Member of Parliament Dean Allison for introducing this Private Members motion that prompts the federal government to consider a coordinated, comprehensive response to anaphylaxis. Thank you to all Niagara MPs and Niagara Regional Public Health for their active support.

Anaphylaxis Motion-230 reads:

That in the opinion of the House, anaphylaxis is a serious concern for an increasing number of Canadians and the government should take the appropriate measures necessary to ensure these Canadians are able to maintain a high quality of life.
